Friday, 22nd February 2019, besides English Day for every Friday, SMAN 3 TARUNA ANGKASA JAWA TIMUR celebrate “National Clean Up Day 2019 or Hari Sampah Nasional 2019. The theme of the day is “Kelola Sampah Untuk Hidup Bersih, sehat dan bernilai.” It means that we have to keep clean, keep healthy and keep worthy of our school’s environment by controlling or managing waste properly.
At Clean Up
Day 2019 all the students of grade X and XI, teachers and oļ¬cers clean the
school’s environment. They pick waste up into the plastic bag. They also
seperate wet and dry waste. Most of the waste that is found are tissue, paper,
plastic bottle, and dried leaves.
Actually, in our school we have Bank Sampah or Waste Bank that is divided into organic and non-organic wastes. Especially, for organic or green waste, it is created into compost. Then, it is used to fertilize plants.
In doing clean up day, each class is responsible for the area that has been divided by the teacher. It includes the main building, sport area (basketball and volleyball court), parking area, sport center (GOR), and mosque.
After finishing clean up day, the
students continue their lessons in the classroom. Last but not least, try not
to throw away trash or waste anywhere. If you can’t
clean your surrounding then don’t make it dirty.
